Coeur D’Alene Coffee Company

We get here, annnnnnd Kayla impulse orders. Have you ever done this or is it just us?

Usually, we are indecisive, but even more so today as we get to the front of the line and the menu is just brimming with unique creations. Who could blame us?

Okay, we get to the front of the line and Kayla orders a pour over; she loves pour overs but it is 88 degrees today, she doesn’t want a pour over! Too late. But pour over it is…. Skip forward & she pawns it off to another coffee lover who joined us (who’s coffee preference was not affected by the heat) and goes in for seconds. She goes back up and the barista asks “round two?” She mutters “No, it’s for a friend.” (An invisible friend, I guess we can still have those?). To avoid the continuation of the embarrassment, she has the real friend with us grab it for her.

I get a beautiful “meoww tea” that is a smooth blend of white teas with a little caffeine, sweet, spice and milk–Very refreshing on a hot day. I would recommend if you want tea.

We have been here many times and always love walking into the warm, clean, homey and huge interior with the mix of brick, wood and metal to greet us. This is the type of place that is good for it all: studying, dates, meetings, reading, or just relaxing although the food options are not extensive. They have a space for it all. If you go to one place in Coeur D’Alene for coffee, go here and think about what you want before you get to the beginning of the line.

The breakdown:

  • Food: 4 (mostly just pastries)
  • Coffee: 7 (beautiful latte art)
  • Ambiance: 9
