Every time Kayla and I introduce ourselves, the inevitable “What do you do?” question follows. In response, we explain how I will be attending law school & her medical school.
A chorus of praise usually follows and a “wow your parents should be proud.” Well, they should I guess, and they are.
But that is not the purpose of our cup. That is not why we get up, have that cup of coffee and get moving. We do it because we want to help the people who need help the most. I am going to law school because I, along with everyone, have felt helpless. I have had and still have problems that I cannot solve myself. I have also seen injustice and felt helpless because I could not do as much as I would like to in order to help. I want the unique qualifications that lawyers have to aid the helpless.
Kayla loves babies and old people and everyone else. Her coffee cup needs filled with joe so she can scribe for a surgeon (which she did for two years pre-med school) and eventually heal people from all walks of life with all different health profiles. She hopes to use the skills learned and practiced in medical school to treat underserved populations and increase preventative medicine.

When I realized this, I wondered what was the meaning of others cups? Please comment and let us know below!
