After listening to hundreds of hours of podcasts, here is a lineup of our legal, medical, news and personal favorite shows. 

Law

  1. Ladies who Law School: This is an upbeat podcast run by two fun females focused on law school & their life in law. 
  2. The Happy lawyer project: This is a joyful project of a lawyer who decided to interview lawyers and find out how they bring happiness to this tough career. 
  3. The Jabot: A podcast from the perspective of professionals in the field of law. 
  4. Thinking like a Lawyer: A couple of honest people express their views about legal news, caution: a little spicy. 
  5. Legal Talk Network: This is a collection of other legal podcasts on a range of topics that relate to law. 

Medical 

  1. The MCAT podcast: exactly what it sounds.
  2. Short Coat Podcast: a fun blend of pre-med tips, med school realities and medical professionals.

News 

  1. NPR News Now: This is a 4-5 minute news show about the headlines; it is put out 3 times per day. 
  2. NPR Up First: This is a 12 minute summary of the latest news.  
  3. BBC World Service: This is a 30 minute podcast which focuses on 3 main stories and new research from a British perspective.  
  4. The Economist Radio: This is a short & good collection of news, but requires a subscription.
  5. Snacks Daily: there are two versions of this (one is 20 minutes and the other like 3 minutes). It is two refreshing, vibrant and sometimes hilarious dudes who break down economic news.

Personal 

  1. The Best Today Guide: This is a motivating and powerful podcast about being your best self. 
  2. Feel Good Effect: This is a beautiful podcast about how to feel good and what it really means to be healthy. 
  3. But What’s Next: A Podcast by Michelle Reed, this covers her daily life as a young influencer, wife and dog owner. It also has great Christian advice.  
  4. The Next Right Thing: Although this is a podcast about decisions, it is also a great tool to be a Christian in today’s world. 
  5. Unlocking Us with Brene Brown: By the famous Brene Brown, this podcast is a calming avenue to self inquiry and healing.
