Rare Bird Coffee Roasters

230 W Broad St, Falls Church, VA 22046

Three words. Lemon lavender scone. Basically, pure happiness. This is the wonderful treat I am munching on as I write this in Rare Bird Coffee Roasters.

This neighborhood coffeeshop in the quaint town of Falls Church is the perfect place to come, stay and basically never leave (c’mon make me). It is bright and light with white and green walls. They are lined with art and somebody here basically has a green hand instead of green thumb because the plants are flourishing. They are making my killing-of-a-succulent-the-most-resilent-plant look pathetic and hilarious.

I came into this lovely coffeeshop on a Monday morning to jumpstart the week. I ordered a black coffee (with cream, I’m not crazy) and a lemon lavender scone (see above). It was so good, it nourished my body, and made me excited for life, like a cup of good joe can do. The coffee and scone were also very decently priced (medium drip for 2.55 and scone for 3.45 for a total of 6.60). These were not the only options though–there was a very full pastry case and all sorts of coffee & espresso beverages.

On top of this, there is great seating. When you walk in you see one of two rooms with tables and bar seating tucked in everywhere. Clearly, workers are welcome. I found myself a seat in a booth seat in the adjacent room. The wifi password when I went was Ro55’s_G00se if you need it to study. Before writing this post, I worked on interview prep for one coming up soon.

If you are not convinced yet, I encourage you to check out this spot yourself next time you are in the area, and see what you think!
