It is no wonder these coffeeshops make one feel like home when, if you look close, they have the shape & structure of houses.

I have been to both the Arlington and Falls Church locations many times, so will detail my reviews of both below, followed by details about each separately.

Both: They both have nice outdoor seating, very nice people and baristas, and give you a buzzer for coffee (except black coffee) and food.

Arlington:

This fun, hip place is a great place to hang with friends with a drink or study for hours. It has a great selection of food and coffee. Having tried much of it, I suggest the grilled cheese; I’m salivating just thinking of it. It also has a lot of seating downstairs (tables) and more upstairs (my favorite is the bar seat by the window).

The music, like in the other one, is sometimes kind of loud. Also, the location can sometimes get cold, so pack that sweater (or maybe this is just me).

Falls Church:

I’m going to be honest–this one is my favorite. It has parking straight across from it, and it is in the cute town of Falls Church. When you walk in, you will be met with the large amount of seating of all sorts (tables, benches, etc.) but the best space is upstairs. So, find the stairs in the back, and take them to find some great rooms upstairs. First, there is a lovely sunny room. In addition to this room, if you continue down a hallway, there is a small wood-lined, cozy room in the back. Also, there are doors to a patio that everyone loves (when the weather is decent).

The food & drinks are also very good and, mostly, reasonably priced. There is a myriad of options: iced tea, hot tea (served in a french press), black coffee and all the usual espresso options. The coffee is smooth, light and citrusy, and I suggest you get the coffee w/ a free refill in a mug if you will be studying (3.18 w tax). Now the important part–food. The oat bar is good, and there are a TON of pastries that immediately make you want them all.

The other important things to know about this place are the music is sometimes louder here also, and they sometimes have fun events for holidays.

Time for you to try both, and see which one you like better!
