This hip new coffee shop is popping up around D.C. And well… after visiting, I can see why.

I have actually been to Blank Street previously in London and adored it. So I was so excited to see that it was coming to D.C.! I stopped in on a cold day basically famished. I ordered an Americano ($3) and Banana Bread. When ordering, the kind and upbeat barista called it “big banana bread” and she was right. In spite of this, I scarfed it down it about 10 seconds. It was moist and lovely and hit the spot. They had an assortment of pastries, but no larger food items. The coffee was also smooth and comes in a big and small size. If I go back again, their cold brew also seems amazing.

The walls around you are white and olive. This combines with other wood and plant accents to create a lovely, minimalist space that one could stay in for hours. The seating is limited in the one because it is nestled in next to a bookstore (I know, amazing right). It has a window seat and a bar to relax at. While I was there, another was taking a zoom call next to me–what a great idea. Because it is in a busy area, there is street parking (I had no problem this day, but it has been a little tricky before). If you are in the DC area, I would not miss this one (luckily, there are a few around now).
