We walked in at about 9 am on a Monday morning. It was packed—the Georgetown neighbors all swarming for a cup of coffee, a pita, or a pastry. We joined them this day, waiting patiently in line and embracing the buzz of a place full of people.
The place is a hip mix of black, white, yellow and light woods. There are two small rooms with a smattering of tables.

Once we made our way up to the front of the line, we ordered a lemon sumac cruffin, a twice baked baklava croissant, and two breakfast egg pitas to munch on. We ordered coffee, of course, in the form of a halva honey latte and a golden date cappuccino with oat milk. It was on the pricier side (see menu below).
Everything was even better than expected.

The lemon sumac cruffin was a flakey, sugar-covered croissant in a muffin shape filled a lemony custard. The twice baked baklava croissant was flaky dough with a nutty, sweet inside topped with a sweet glaze and pistachios. Also, the egg pitas cannot be missed. They are a warm pita with eggs, labne, tahini and greens. Everything comes together to melt in your mouth (but would not have complained if there was more cheesy labne).

Next, the drinks. The halva honey latte is creamy, perfectly frothy ,and has notes of caramel and honey. The golden date cappuccino had a light cardamom taste and a subtle sweetness, probably from the dates.

We left after finishing our sweet treats all too quickly. It took us about five minutes until we were talking about the next time we would come.
