Little Garden Cafe, Spokane, WA

The Little Garden Cafe looks like any normal strip mall in not the best location (by a gas station in Northern Spokane). Buttttttt this coffee shop reminds us of the adage, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” I would add don’t judge this building by its exterior.

Once you step in, your eyes don’t know where to look. Maybe the huge painting of a garden? Art lining the back wall? The don’t-match-kinda-match-perfectly chairs and couches? Oh and yes, you will need to check out the menu like we did. Under the fairy lights, peruse options for breakfast, lunch and what to drink. We opted for an italian sandwich (sausage, salami, spinach, sauce) and a garden salad (chicken, a little too much ranch, carrots, tomatoes) that were served with their homemade bread. To drink, we had and would recommend a latte with homemade caramel.

We sat first in navy couches out of many choices in this large place, and loved sitting on the floor. Jokes aside, they just sunk in a little deep. Eventually, we moved to the bar and stools by the window which were comfy and are taller so if you do not want to sit you can stand here too (like I did). Finally, we landed at the communal table in the middle. The comforting wood grounded us as we finished up our work, but the place was overall a little warm.
